Selina Nwulu is a London based writer, poet and performer of Nigerian heritage. She is currently Young Poet Laureate for London (2015-2016). Her work is an exploration of both the personal and political which she weaves with themes of identity, daily observation, nostalgia, and belonging. Her work has been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies including collections by the RSA (2015), Lunar Poetry (2015) and Emma Press (2014). Her first chapbook collection, The Secrets I Let Slip is was published by Burning Eye Books in September 2015. She has also written for a number of outlets including The Guardian, Red Pepper, the Free Word centre and Sable litmag. She has performed nationally and internationally, most recently at a number of festivals including Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe and Fiery Tongues Festival in Ruigoord, Holland.
