Sean Street and Philip Fried

Our next live worldwide poetry reading will feature Philip Fried from New York, NY and Sean Street from Liverpool, UK, hosted by John Gosslee of Fjords Review.

Tune in for free on April 26th, 2015 at 20.00 BST. The poets will be reading their work and answering your questions live on air.

Philip Fried is a New York-based poet and little-magazine editor. He has published six books of poetry, the most recent being Interrogating Water and Other Poems (Salmon, 2013). His international poetry journal, The Manhattan Review, has been called “excellent” and “lively” by critics. Fried also collaborated with his wife, the fine-art photographer Lynn Saville, to produce Acquainted with the Night, a book combining her night photography with poetry from around the world.

Sean Street is an actor and radio broadcaster who has published ten collections of poetry. Called “one of the best contemporary poets of the English landscape” by The Daily Telegraph, his work “all comes down to sound”–including drawing inspiration from jazz, the cello, and of course the radio.

Fjords Review is a twice-yearly print journal of poetry, prose, and photography. In addition to its companion website, Fjords is available in over 300 bookstores in the United States and Canada. John Gosslee is the editor of Fjords Review. His collection Blitzkrieg Body combines poetry, imagery, and performance art.
